The current prices for Luton School meals, main course and sweet, are :

Junior Pupils (age 7+ to 10+)£1.80
High Pupils (age 11+ to 15+) £1.95

How to Pay
In Primary schools meals must be paid for in advance, either by cash or cheque put into an envelope identified with the pupil’s name and class and delivered by the pupils to their classrooms. Parents and guardians can pay weekly, half termly or termly in advance. In some schools the method of collection may vary slightly.

In 2 of our Secondary schools we operate a Cashless System where smart cards specific to each pupil and member of staff have a monetary value entered on to them, enabling them to purchase food in the dining room. Payment for this can be made by cash in a machine, or by cheque to the kitchen office. In other Cash Cafeterias pupils and staff pay for their meals in cash on the day through a cash till.

All cheques should be made payable to Luton Borough Council and have the parent/guardian name and address written on the back.

Help us to reduce Food Waste

It would help us to reduce food waste in schools, if parents/guardians do not change from hot meals to packed lunches or vice versa without giving one week notice.
