About Luton Youth Service

Allsorts

Luton Youth Service (also known as Integrated Youth Support or IYS) is a free service offering impartial advice, guidance and support to young people.

Youth Service support is available to all young people aged 11-19, and up to 25 years for those with additional needs. We help all young people and have many different ways to provide help and support for those young people who need it.

How can we help you?

Lots of ways! Careers, education, college, higher education, confidence, employment, housing, money, teenage pregnancy, young parenthood, life, youth clubs, things to do, volunteering, apprenticeships, benefits, sex, relationships, drugs, alcohol, bullying, problems at home, self esteem, worries, studying - anything that affects you!

What is a youth worker?

A youth worker supports young people on their journey to adulthood. They also help young people discover and explore opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills and attitude to fully participate in society.

You can speak to a youth worker at your local youth group or club. To find your nearest youth group visit the Youth Clubs page or call the Alma Street drop-in centre on 01582 54 83 40.

How can you get involved?

Young people are encouraged to get involved and participate in every aspect of the work going on within the Youth Service. This could mean taking part in focus groups, providing feedback on marketing information and the website, public speaking and organising events or even helping to recruit new staff.

If you would like to get involved, get in touch through our Contact page.
