Welcome to cpd@luton

Once again Luton's Children & Learning Department would like to thank the headteachers and cpd co-ordinators who have helped to shape and guide this programme, by responding to our annual survey. We are committed to working in partnership with our schools to develop what we offer and make improvements year on year.

Our courses and conferences are aimed at supporting improvements in leadership and management, governance, curriculum (including core and foundation subjects) as well as pupil support and inclusion. We have taken into account current national agendas including reorganisation of the curriculum and improving outcomes in the early years. Our training is linked to the Every Child Matters (ECM) agenda to support the school self-evaluation process, and the 'Common Induction Standards' (see Early Years introduction)

The courses in these brochures are applicable to both teaching and non-teaching staff, early years practitioners and the wider childrens workforce.

If you are running a course and would like to add supporting material to this area please contact  the Children and Families Information Service via email CandLWeb@luton.gov.uk  or call  01582 548888.
