Primary Language Conference | 'Enjoyment and Achievement' was the theme of Luton's Primary Languages Conference that took place on the 19th June at Putteridgebury Conference Centre. The conference was designed for class teachers, subject co-ordinators, headteachers and everyone excited by the idea of teaching about foreign languages and culture in primary schools. |
Keynote addresses - Helen Groothues from CiLT, the National Centre for Languages
- Rachel Redfearn, author of the Wakefield Schemes of Work for French and Spanish
Participants in the Conference were able to choose from a range of workshops designed to enthuse and inspire, and the suppliers’ exhibition provided the chance to view a range of resources and order them at discount. The schools’ display showcased what is happening in Luton schools and shared good practice.
The programme included something for everyone with opportunities on the day both to learn and to have fun, just as we want our pupils to do. |
